When my store bought knife block ran out of space I decided to build my own. I wanted it to be unique, so I spent a lot of time viewing images on the Internet and eliminating each one from consideration. Once I knew what it wouldn’t look like, I needed to come up with a design that would hold all of my knives, make them easy to access and look awesome. I call my design a double waterfall because it slopes in two directions simultaneously. The light wood is red oak and the dark wood is bubinga. The finish is a hand rubbed acrylic polyurethane.
